MLE Pyrotechnics - British Firework Champions 2011

The British Firework Championships, held at Plymouth on the evenings of 16th and 17th August 2011 saw six companies compete to become British Firework Champion 2011.

The winning display - as chosen by the panel of judges - was performed by MLE Pyrotechnics who not only carry the crown for this year, but will take their place alongside previous winners in the 2012 Champion of Champions Competition. This is the second time the company have been awarded first place at this prestigious event which attracts around 200,000 spectators.

Unlike other fireworks competitions the British Firework Championship is judged not only by a panel of judges but also by the audience themselves using text voting. Matt Lawrence from MLE said “Our team have worked really hard this year and we are proud of the fantastic display we achieved.”

The Judge's Verdict

1. MLE Pyrotechnics

2. Celebration Fireworks

3. Fireworx Scotland

Companies competing: Skyburst, Fireworx Scotland, Nemesis, Celebration Fireworks and Highlight Pyrotechnics
