Komodo win at Southport

Southport's sky burst into light as the British Musical Fireworks Championships returned. Some of the country's top pyrotechnic teams competed with stunning firework displays synchronised to music, to try and win the prestigious industry title of UK Champions.

This year’s pyrotechnic companies firing at the event were; G Force Fireworks, Saltire Fireworks, Komodo Fireworks, Highlight Pyrotechnics, Britannia Fireworks, Phenomenal Fireworks and Celebration Displays.

Saltire put a fire picture of the ‘Lakeness Monster’ on the Marine lake waters accompanied by Pipe music then changing to Jaws, much to the audience delight!

Results:

THE WINNER - KOMODO FIREWORKS

2nd PLACE - BRITANNIA FIREWORKS

3rd PLACE - CELEBRATION DISPLAYS

Report by Bill Davis, who will be providing a detailed, illustrated report in issue 63 of Fireworks.
