What could be better than a professional firework display against the backdrop of a stunning stately home? This summer, MLE Pyrotechnics launches an exciting new competition, the Combermere fireworks Championships, with not one, but four, huge displays all choreographed to music.

Three teams will compete for the title of Combermere Firework Champion 2008 and the winner will be decided by the audience who can vote by SMS. While the votes are being counted, the organisers, MLE Pyrotechnics Limited, will close the night with a massive show. The companies selected for this year’s event have won many prestigious titles between them such as the British Champions, British Musical Champions and Firework Champions.

Before the displays start the audience can watch a demonstration to learn about the different types of fireworks and see how the teams use them to make their fantastic displays that dance to the music. You’ll also enjoy a spectacular Khoom Fay lantern launch; the sky will be filled with the beautiful oriental sky lanterns that gently float into the distance. Then, at 9:30pm the main entertainment will begin, the culmination of several months of preparation for the teams involved.

Those who book early can obtain discounted tickets and be entered into a prize draw to win a £1,000 display. Parking is available on site and gates open at 5pm so bring a picnic, (sorry no barbeques) or enjoy the food and drink available from licensed vendors while you relax in the beautiful grounds of Combermere Abbey. Then in the evening, sit back for some sensational entertainment by leading pyrotechnics companies from around the country.
